Throughout the journey of 35 plus years as a midwife followed by becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have been continuously expanding my education and experience in holistic, integrative and personalized medicine. My career began here in Aurora as a Community Midwife later completing the Nurse-Midwifery program at OHSU in 2003 followed by a Post-Masters Certificate in Family Medicine in 2009. That same year we opened Aurora Family Health and Maternity Care Services, LLC, which went on to become a patient centered primary care home, and in 2013 we opened the Aurora Birth Center, a nationally accredited free standing licensed birth center. Always pursuing knowledge in holistic healthcare, functional medicine was a natural next step.
While still offering a limited amount of holistic midwifery services, I also bring the midwife spirit into ‘midwifing’ my non-pregnant patients by providing information, support and resources for patients seeking the resolution of acute and chronic illness. Being passionate about personalized care, my knowledge base and repertoire of services has continued to expand. We have incorporated IV nutrient therapy, peptides therapy, bio-identical hormone therapy and other modalities into Willow Holistic Health, and are excited to stay on the forefront of anti-aging and wellness medicine in the future.
Although we closed the Aurora Birth Center in 2023, we continue to accept a limited number of midwifery clients seeking safe, out of hospital care. Our beautiful birth suite is still available for those interested or in need of a lovely, private, beautiful, fully equipped birthing space. It is designed for labor, birth and postpartum care. Willow Holistic Health is a blend of conventional health care with an emphasis on functional medicine for adults with conditions related to inflammation (‘inflammaging’), such as high blood pressure, autoimmune disorders, depression, insulin resistance, and many others. We offer holistic medical weight loss via lifestyle medicine, GLP-1s, and conventional therapies.
In today’s fast paced, stress filled world, Willow Holistic Health is an oasis of care that is fitted to the individual. We know that standardized medicine, (one size fits all), doesn’t help everyone, and seeing a different provider at every appointment can be difficult as well. We provide long term, sensitive, provider relationships and therapy plans that are uniquely oriented to each person. Our appointments are unhurried allowing time for a more in depth exploration into the complexities of a client’s history. We also offer IV therapy with a host of elements such as NAD, Glutathione, Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids and more.
