From Home, to Hospital, to Birth Center and Back Again
For this little practice catching babies started quite a long time ago. Initially providing home birth care in the community, to becoming a Nurse Midwife, and then delivering in the hospital. And next opening a Birth Center, and ultimately back to the roots of midwifery.
Our Birth Space: This is not a licensed Birth Center. It is a Birth Suite that is designed and ready for Birth.
What We Are
We offer Full Scope Midwifery Services Including Prenatal Care, Birth and Postpartum Care for low risk women desiring out of hospital birth. We do offer some home deliveries in appropriate settings, but we also have a beautiful birth suite designed for the safe provision of labor and birth care. It is fully equiped as if it was a birth center, but it is not licensed. It is a fully remodeled separate part of our clinic with a separate entrance.
This practice is not related to Willow Holistic Health. It has a separate Tax-ID and our services are not billable to Insurance.

Midwifery Services
Throughout my journey of 35 plus years as a midwife followed by becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have been continuously expanding my education and experience in holistic, integrative and personalized midwifery, pediatric and family medicine. My career began here in Aurora as a Community Midwife followed later by completing the Nurse-Midwifery program at OHSU in 2003 and then a Post-Masters Certificate in Family Medicine in 2009. That same year we opened Aurora Family Health and Maternity Care Services, LLC, which went on to become a patient centered primary care home, and in 2013 we opened the Aurora Birth Center, a nationally accredited free standing licensed birth center. Always pursuing knowledge in holistic healthcare, functional medicine was a natural next step.
Although we closed the Aurora Birth Center in 2023, we continue to accept a limited number of midwifery clients seeking safe, out of hospital care. Our beautiful birth suite is still available for those interested or in need of a lovely, private, beautiful, fully equipped birthing space. Although not a licensed birth center, this space is designed for labor, birth and postpartum care.
